    Halloween decoration ideas

Halloween night is right around the corner. Is your front yard spooky enough yet? Impress your whole neighborhood with your commitment to friendly fright this year! Here are five fun electrical Halloween decoration ideas from your friends at 24/7 Electric.

    1. Front Yard Graveyard

If you want to wow the trick-or-treaters from the minute they spot your yard, try transforming it into a graveyard. You can purchase tombstones or make your own and then place them strategically throughout your yard like a real cemetery. To make it seem extra spooky, add a fog machine and some eerie floodlights in blue or green. You can also add some skeletons peeking out from behind their tombstones or rising from the grave.

    2. Forest of Fright

If you have a yard with lots of trees, you can turn it into a haunted forest. Drape some classic cobwebs on the limbs, and add some faces to them to make them look alive! Play a haunted soundtrack from a speaker tucked behind some shrubbery to create a scary movie ambiance. Finish off the effect with some lanterns that light the path to your house.

    3. Magic Potions and Wicked Witches

If you plan on hosting a Halloween party indoors or if you have a nice big porch to greet trick-or-treaters on Halloween, add some spooky witches and bubbling cauldrons to your décor. This witch holding an apple looks like she came straight out of a fairy tale. DIY some potion bottles and then place a big cauldron in front of her. Set a fog machine inside with some colorful lights to make it look like it is smoking and glowing.

    4. Creepy Crawlies

If you want to add some doom to a room or make trick-or-treaters wonder if they wandered into the wrong web, add a nest of various spiders to your Halloween décor. First cover your bushes, trees, porch rails, furniture, etc. with fake cobwebs. Then add spiders of all shapes and sizes. For an extra dose of spooky, invest in a jumping spider or two.

    5. Candy Land

If you are looking for some Halloween decoration ideas that are more cheerful than fearful, try decking out your yard in all things candy corn! Start with these cute little pinwheels. Wrap some orange, yellow, and white lights on your trees and porch rail. Hang some candy corn paper lanterns in the trees and doorway. If you like this cute candy idea but you want to make it a little spookier on Halloween night, add some ghoulish animatronic children to greet visitors at the door.
